Description

Tithing is a long held tradition. Most Christians are too busy to question and search out religious practices for themselves. We have been carefully conditioned not to challenge convention. Sometimes God Himself will challenge us to put aside what others say and teach to delve deeper into a subject in order to find the 'hidden manna' of God's Word. This book is the fruit of one of those challenges.

Subject: Breathtaking...
Enlightening to say the least. Before I came across this book I felt as if I was the only person who seriously questioned the practices of tithing in the church (specifically the one I attend). To be beaten over the head with scripture (the favorite, Malachi 3:8) and have guilt thrown on you for not paying your tithes is absurd. And to add insult to injury saying that you will be cursed if not done, takes it to an even higher degree of sanity. To know that we are free in Christ brings me so much comfort and joy. Thanks for opening my eyes and reminding me that reading and studying God's word for your self goes more than a long way. It soothes the soul and then some. Please dont misunderstand. I don't have a problem giving to help the needy. But what I wont do is give blindly to someone that says we will be cursed otherwise because it is the law. Two words...under grace. How sweet the sound. Thanks
